Vegas Uncork'd Returns May 10-13 With the Most Exciting Lineup to Date

The annual Vegas Uncork'd foodie extravaganza has come to be one of Sin City's standout culinary events, with 60 chefs from 50 restaurants, representing Las Vegas' best resorts including Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and The Cosmopolitan. This year brings exciting new toques to the lineup, but also celebrates the frontrunners who brought fine cuisine to Las Vegas many years ago. Presented by Bon Appetit, the event takes place May 10-13, kicking off Las Vegas' long-lasting desert summer.

Celebrates its 32nd Annual Picnic des Chefs

The Club Culinaire of Southern California will hold its annual Picnic des Chefs on Sunday, May 20th at Vasa Park in Agoura Hills at 2854 Triunfo Canyon Road, where 4 acres of lush mountain side await us. LA's top chefs will create authentic dishes from various regions of France. Participating chefs (partial list): Marius Blin (Hotel Sofitel); Xiomara Ardolina (Xiomara); Michel Blanchet (Michel Cordon Bleu); Joe Miller (Joe's Restaurant); Josie LeBalch (Josie Restaurant); Neal Fraser (BLVD); Yvan Valentin (Sweet Temptation); and Christian Kaufman (Emil's Swiss Pastry). The party starts at 11:30am until 4:30pm.

Chefs will cook up over 700 lbs. of meat, poultry and fish, 500 lbs. of vegetables, 200 lbs. of cheeses, 500 baguettes, 50 artisan breads, and much more. Over 50 wineries will be pouring their favorite selections for guests to taste. The event is great for kids (including a moon bounce paradise, heated swimming pool with a giant waterslide, rock climbing wall, drawing competition, and games). Adults can play petaque, (win your weight in wine), soccer, volleyball, and badminton. Raffle prizes include two roundtrip tickets to Tahiti or Paris on Air Tahiti Nui, gourmet dinners, and shopping certificates. Musical entertainment will be provided by a French DJ.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Concern Foundation and the HOPE Program at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Ticket price is inclusive of all food, beverages, entertainment and parking.

Stay." experience provides guests with a unique opportunity to explore Palm Springs and its neighboring communities.

LAS VEGAS CELEBRATED 38th ANNUAL UNLVINO MARCH 22-24, 2012

William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV and Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada Raise Scholarship Funds. Wines, spirits and beers from around the globe gave beverage enthusiasts a world tour of what's exciting and exceptional at the three-night, 38th Annual UNLVino. Nevada's largest and oldest Wine Festival, UNLVino not only showcases an international beverage array but has raised millions of dollars for scholarships benefitting students at the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.

"Bubble-licious" on Thursday, March 22 at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health Guests steped inside the Keep Memory Alive Events Center, a modern masterpiece and stunning landmark designed by legendary architect Frank Gehry, to taste world-class champagnes, sparkling wines and exotic champagne cocktails. This truly memorable evening is designed to educate the senses by providing guests with the healthy lifestyle foods of Red Velvet Cafe, Gustav Mauler's Spiedini restaurant and cuisine by award-winning Chef Alex Stratta.

"Sake Fever" on Friday, March 23 at The Mirage Pool outside of Japan guests received the opportunity to sample Asian delicacies while tasting an extraordinary portfolio of exotic sakes with highly regarded Brewmasters. "Sake Fever" welcomed guests poolside to The Mirage and provided them with succulent cuisine by fine dining restaurants Japonais and FIN, in addition to delicious sake cocktails and rare handcrafted beers.

Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival

The first Los Angeles Food & Wine festival took place Oct. 13-16. The event featured over 100 celebrity chefs, 300 wines and more than 70 events. The event kicked off with a red carpet premiere at the Nokia Plaza, where Hollywood celebrities and celebrity chefs came together to taste 200 different wines. The festival culminated with Wolfgang Puck's brunch and charity auction on Oct. 16. A portion of the proceeds went to benefit the Los Angeles chapter of Meals on Wheels.
